A Vision of Grace

Our Vision

Worship that is God-centered, Christ-exalting, and Holy Spirit-empowered. We are committed to a New Testament model of worship in the fellowship. It is an experience that every believer should desire regularly. It includes prayers of confession, supplication, intercession and thanksgiving. It consistently includes Biblical exposition. Musically, we seek to combine psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. We celebrate the victory that is ours in Christ as we commune together and with Our Savior in the Lord’s Supper. In tandem, all of these experiences combine to strengthen and edify believers.

Discipleship that equips believers for spiritual growth and maturity. The goal of Christian discipleship is found in God Himself. To know the Lord, to be like the Lord, and to do the Lord’s will. Toward that mark we are committed to knowing the Lord through the Word, quickened to our hearts by His Spirit. We are committed to becoming like the Lord through our obedience to His commands as the Spirit enables. We are committed to doing the Lord’s will as we are led by His Spirit and His Word. Practical Biblical instruction will underlie all our efforts to bring believers to spiritual maturity. We will communicate the “whole counsel of God” carefully and expositionally...teaching the great, liberating principles of Scripture in every creative way possible.

Evangelism that is the process of reaching out to a lost world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. At Grace Community Church evangelism is not an accidental option—it is an intentional by-product of our commitment to Christ. All of our efforts are done in the confidence that we are “Christ’s ambassadors/ministers of reconciliation.” we are committed to helping the body at Grace live a lifestyle of witness. We recognize that the world will know that we are Christ’s disciples by our love for one another. Our unity in truth will have a powerful evangelistic impact on our community. We seek to “study to show ourselves approved” which will produce an ever ready defense of the hope we have in Him. And finally, we commit all of our efforts and trust evangelistic result to the Lord, who alone can save.

We Are a Local Church: Existing under the leading of Jesus Christ as Lord and Head; Grace Community Church is committed to serving God in three ways --

  • Serving Him directly in worship!
  • Serving His redeemed in discipleship!
  • Serving His lost world in evangelism!
